For wedding nails near Pontefract, have them done in the last few days before the wedding, and book that slot as early as the calendar lets you. Anything that needs a patch test starts sooner, so plan from three weeks out. The studio in Upton, West Yorkshire, takes bookings only and has one person in at once, so walking in on the day is not an option.
In short
- By three weeks before: choose your treatments, book each for its own day and have your patch test if you need one.
- Any time in those three weeks, 24 hours or more after your test: an LVL lash lift or brow lamination.
- Two weeks before: if you already wear extensions, work out when your infills fall.
- A week or more before: brow tint, so the faint stain on the skin has time to fade.
- The last few days: nails.
- Close to the day: any cluster lashes.
The timings come from how long gel lasts and how quickly a tint stain fades, so the plan suits a guest, a bridesmaid or anyone else with a date in the diary.
How far ahead should you book wedding nails near Pontefract?
Book as soon as your date is on the calendar. It only opens a set time ahead, so a date far off will not show yet. Each booking is one-to-one, and the studio is not open every day, so the days before a wedding can only hold so many people. You can see live availability on the booking page, and it is worth looking before you settle on a plan.
The timing of the nails themselves comes down to one figure. We give gel up to 3 weeks without chips, and how hard your hands work each day decides the rest. A set done three weeks out could be near the end of that by the wedding. A set done that week has barely started, and your nails are at their newest in the photos.
Not sure which finish you want? We compare builder gel (often called BIAB), gel and acrylic in a separate guide.
Three weeks before: what goes in the diary first?
If you have not booked yet, write down everything you would like and book it in one sitting. This is also where the countdown starts for anyone having lashes or brows done, because five of them need a patch test first, unless you already have a valid one on file:
- LVL lash lift
- Eyelash tinting
- Eyebrow tinting
- Eyebrow Tint + Wax Combo
- Eyebrow lamination
A single test does for all five. It happens in the studio, with a gap of 24 hours or more before the treatment, and the two can go in together online on separate days. Twenty-four hours is the minimum. Leaving yourself weeks also gives you room to change plan if Jade decides against a treatment.
For most clients an LVL lash lift holds for up to 6 weeks, and brow lamination lasts around six weeks. Either one, done in the three weeks before the day, sits inside those figures.
Before any appointment, tell Jade about allergies, sensitive skin, pregnancy, breastfeeding, a recent reaction to any nail or lash product, or any medication that makes your skin more sensitive.
Two weeks before: do your extensions need an infill?
If you already wear extensions, count backwards from the wedding. An extension in builder gel or acrylic goes about 2 weeks between infills, and an infill is meant for no more than 2 weeks of growth. So one infill now and another in the final days keeps the regrowth out of sight when it matters.
Changing what you wear? Add Removal to the booking so there is time to take the old product off. New extensions also take longer than infills.
A week or more before: why do brows go here?
Brow tint goes here because of the stain. On the hair it holds for around 4 to 6 weeks. The fainter stain on the skin is gone within a week or so. Having it done a week or more ahead gives that stain time to fade.
Sun, oily skincare and exfoliators all shorten the tint, so keep things gentle around your brows for the first 24 hours. The Eyebrow Tint + Wax Combo gives you a wax and a tint in one visit.
The last few days: which nails and lashes come last?
This is the moment for your builder gel overlay, your gel or your final infill. Arrive with clean hands. If your shoes are open at the toe, add Gel Toes.
You can add nail art when you book, and the three tiers are set out on the gel nails page.
Week End Lash belongs at this end of the plan too. It is a set of cluster lashes made for a single occasion, so there is nothing to gain from having it weeks early.
When your date shows on the calendar, book your wedding appointments online, and choose to pay online by card or in person at your appointment. If your date moves, our cancellation policy explains how rescheduling works.
