Classica Beauty is a private nail studio in Upton, near Pontefract in West Yorkshire, and it takes one client at a time. Every appointment is one-to-one with Jade, booked in advance. There are no walk-ins and no second client at another desk. This guide explains why it was set up that way and what it changes for you.
In short
- One client at a time, for nails, lashes and brows alike.
- By appointment only. Please do not turn up without one.
- Jade does every treatment herself.
- It suits you if you want an unhurried appointment. It suits you less if you like to decide on the day.
What does a private nail studio mean in practice?
It means the appointment is yours alone. The studio has one nail desk and one treatment bed, and one person working: Jade. There is nobody to hand you over to and nobody else to be fitted in around you.
Three things follow from that, and they are the things the studio says about itself most often: no rushing, no double-booking, no distractions. The phone stays silent during treatments.
It calls itself a studio, not a salon, and the space is small on purpose.
Why did Jade set it up like this?
Because of what she had seen elsewhere. Before Classica Beauty opened in 2024, Jade worked in the industry as a mobile practitioner. Her own experience of mainstream salons was that they often felt rushed, with clients in and out and no time to get things right.
What she wanted was the one-to-one time a mobile appointment gives, in a fixed space built for it. In her own words, the idea was to do the work "slowly, properly, and with the person in the chair as the only thing that matters".
There is more of her story on the about page.
What changes for you when a studio works this way?
Quite a lot of small things, and most of them happen before you arrive.
Your time is set aside, not squeezed in. Each treatment has its own length, and the booking page reserves that length for you. It is why we ask you to add Removal when you book if old gel or acrylic has to come off first: the appointment needs to be long enough for what is being done.
You see real availability. The booking page shows the times that are free at that moment. A confirmation follows by email, with a reminder before your visit.
The planning is done for you. Some lash and brow treatments need a patch test at least a day beforehand. The booking page can book the test and the treatment together, on different days, in one go.
The tools are for you alone too. Single-use tools, every client, every visit.
You choose how to pay. By card online when you book, or in the studio on the day.
You know who you are getting. The person named on the website is the person who does your nails, every time.
There are evening appointments. The studio opens into the evening on two days a week, which helps if you work during the day. The current times are on the contact page.
Is one client at a time right for everyone?
No, and it is better to know before you book.
A studio like this cannot offer what a larger salon can. You cannot drop in because you happen to be passing. Two people cannot be treated at the same moment. And because one person does everything, there are only so many appointments in a week, so the time you want may need booking ahead.
It also means a booked slot matters. It has been kept for one person and nobody else. The studio has a cancellation policy, and it is worth reading before you choose a time.
If those are fair trades for an appointment that is calm and entirely your own, this is the kind of place you were searching for.
What can you book?
The full menu, not only nails. Gel, builder gel, extensions and pedicures are on the nail treatments page, and the same one-to-one appointment applies to lash and brow treatments.
Pick a treatment and a time that suits you, and book your appointment online.
